I thought being a dad would feel natural. Instead, I’m exhausted, snapping at people I love, and pretending I’m fine at work.

On paper, my life looks good. Inside, I feel like I’m one mistake away from everything falling apart.

I pay the bills, fix the problems, and keep it together. Lately, I’ve started wondering who I’m supposed to call when I’m falling apart.

My heart races for no reason, and I overthink every small thing I say. I wish I could say ‘I’m anxious’ without feeling weak.

I used to think asking for help meant I’d failed. After one really bad night, I finally told a friend what was going on.

Opening up didn't fix everything instantly, but it was the first time I didn't feel completely alone in the world.
